Harsh Research Collection - The Chicago Public Library
The microform holdings of the Harsh Research Collection are very extensive and provide a means to do research in collections, that, if not for microform technology, would be difficult to reach from the Chicago Public Library service area. "At widely separated locations in the United States, places such as New York City, Washington, DC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Tuskegee, Alabama, and Hampton, Virginia, there exist important collections of interest to those researching African American history topics. Our microform holdings eliminate the need for our patrons to travel to distant locations to use valuable collections. You can find these collections here in Chicago at one location. By giving you, our patron, a broad access to a wide range of materials, we can hopefully assist you in making the research project one of very high calibre. " Robert Miller, Curator
